“Greed Is Good” — Wall Street Parody with Global Reach
Concept
A satirical music video inspired by Gordon Gekko’s “Greed Is Good” speech, reimagined as an anthem for the 2008 housing crash.
In 2011 I wrote + produced a satirical “banksta” music video that reimagined the villains of the financial crisis through an insider’s lens. Drawing from my own experience from working in the mortgage industry, the project aimed to expose the excesses and ironies of that era — showing that it takes two to tango. The result was a bold, high-production satire that captured attention through provocative storytelling and sharp cultural commentary .
I named it Greed Is Good.
